Clear medium orange yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100814]

My absolute favourite among märzens. Overwhelmingly soft maltness, discrete balnced flavours, and leaves you craving more. Even though I’ve only tried this once, it has etched itself onto my mind.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2010. Pours clear golden with a white head. Straw, grass and hops. Dry and bitter flavor. Medium bodied. Dry hoppy end. Good.

Bottle, 5.3%. Mild grassy hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Small stable white head. Good malty flavour, very flavourful. Mild grassy hop flavour as well. Very clean and good.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a finger-thick white head. Malty nose with some fruity, hoppy scents. Sweet initial flavor, but it dries up nicely, a pity the flavor is so uninteresting. Decent bitterness showing up towards the end. Mostly grainy flavor though. It wouldn’t be a problem downing a few of these, but I don’t feel an urge to do so. 100814

Clear golden with a medium off white head. Malty nose with caramel and hints of hops. Flavor was sweet with toasted malt, caramel and grassy hops.

aroma is faint fruity, oterwise dry and a little bit boozy.
flavor is sweet malty, bitter hoppy balance. nice

It’s warm golden with a creamy, white head, and the aroma has notes of vegetables and malt. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of malt, straw/hay, light fruit, and the finish is dry.
