COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Moravius (529) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 22, 2014

Pours clear deep yellow with a full fluffy white head. The smell is moderate malt sweetness, toasted, mildly hoppy, citrus and grass. The taste is similar to the nose ending with a sweet malt & grassy hop balance ending dry. Light+ body - a bit slick with soft very fine carbonation.

McTapps (4331) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle. Pours out in a clear golden colour with steady head and medium body. Awful nose of sweat and acid. Taste of fresh hops, acid, grass, citrus fruits and light barley. Floral hints. Very sour-bitter finish with big dusty and boring elements. Below average, but refreshing.

MichaelAwesome (4314) - Wanne-Eickel, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 18, 2013

3fourths (8100) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Bottle from Getränke Kistner in Forchheim.
Straw yellow with a small white head.
First aroma impression: lemon oil hops, starchy / husky pilsner malt.
Citrus flower and mild herbal green spiciness.
Waxy lemon lip balm.
Clean, bright, zesty, juicy, very expressive aroma and flavor.
Medium-high bitterness; off-dry sweetness.
Quenching acid; smacking, crisp minerality.
Even so it has some limpness to the body, some wateriness.
Lemon oily residue in the finish.
Surprisingly good batch, or just surprisingly overlooked by a lot of people?

from bottle. pours a clear yellow colour with a two-finger rocky white head that quickly fades away. aroma of floral hops and herbs with a slight amount of toasty maltiness and skunkiness in the background. light body, watery mouthfeel and average carbonation. the hopfen gold is characterised by quite a good balance of sweet and bitter notes and a taste that is definitely above that of your average german pilsener. highly drinkable session beer with some grassy and bready flavours and a pleasent bitter aftertaste, but nothing more...

This should be aliased with the other Hopfengold from the brewery. Trade with Culchiem. Thanks. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Nose is straw and metal. Also some rotten notes. Flavor is rough grain, grass and a bit of bread. Medium bodied. Bitter dry finish.
