Bottle at Churchkey, courtesy of Rory and Ollie from Northern Ireland, thank you gents! Very malty, slightly syrupy beer, resembles a barley wine. Decent enough.

A hazed golden lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a nice grainy malt with classic chalkey notes. In mouth, a good crisp and classy malt with good german hops, bitterness, medium bodied. Smooth! On tap at ChurchKey DC with ArgoO, Sept. 16 2010.

Bottle... Clear yellow lager with a mid-sized, delicate, white head. The aroma is a blend of pale grains, peppery hops and honey. Medium to full-bodied with ticklish carbonation. The flavor is of sweet, pale malts alongside lesser peppery hop bitterness. Bittersweet, toffee finish.

Tap at Ginger Man. Slightly hazy golden-amber colour with a massive stiff white head. The nose is fairly clean with a touch of soft pale malt as well as a kiss of light breadiness as well. A little bit of mustiness to the malts with a kiss of bready yeastiness. Light noble maltiness but these are quite earthy and subtle. A touch of dusty basement-type flavour. It’s a fairly rustic brew.

Decent bier, nothing exceptional, found at Premier. Pours light body although very decent creamy off-white head. Neutral aroma. Mouthfeel is average, taste is OK, drinkable but not very drinkable to the extent of 500 ml.

500 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma is slightly toasted bread with lots of fruity notes. Something slightly odd and spicy lingers in the background. Taste is bready, very spicy... with anise, cinnamon, pepper and juniper notes. Fairly dry. Medium bodied.
