A Porter style beer is a weaker, lighter version of Stout. Ours is brewed with some chocolate malt and black malt for color and flavor. We use a special roast of coffee from Common Grounds for a smooth, mellow java flavor, putting a modern twist on a historic English pub tradition. 25 IBUs O.G.= 1.050 s.g.

Had on tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville. Pours jet black with a creamy tan head. Lots of coffee. Burnt coffee. Nice beer.

Black pour with tan head. Roasted malt and a big coffee astringency. Nice coffee but a hinto sour in the flavor keep this beer from being over the top. Still a pretty nice beer. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

On tap at the brewpub, served in a frosted mug. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt. Flavor of lots of charred malt, super charred actually with some roasted and sweet malt notes. Really no coffee notes though, except maybe super roasted coffee beans in the initial sip. This could be better and less charred I think. 6/4/7/3/13 (3.3/5)

Draught. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown with a moderate tan head. Just okay, a light sweet porter, little coffee flavor. Bland, a bit of a disappointment.

Thanks to my brother for bringing a growler of this beer to Iowa. The body is very black with a medium khaki colored head. The aroma is rich coffee with some notes of fresh soybeans. There is also a hint of pancakes. The taste is fairly light with some coffee and artificial sweetner. There is also a little bit of milk chocolate in the finish. This is thin and slick in the mouthfeel. A decent brew, but could use more body.
