This German style Hefeweizen is our most popular beer. Brewed with 60% white wheat malt, and 40% pilsner malt. A special yeast strain contributes the characteristic fruity, spicy, clove, and banana flavors that make this style unlike any other. Just a touch of German hops provides enough balance to make it an extremely smooth beer to drink. Woodstock Wheat is unfiltered giving it a cloudy appearance. 13 IBUs O.G.= 1.046 s.g.

Keg @ Hog Haus. Hazy gold with a small head. Nose is of strong artificial banana. Sort of acrid spoiled fruits. Sugar. Hit tangy banana shake, pear juice. Sticky and sugary. Light body, strong carbonation. Meh.

Hazy light golden pour. Creamy thin head. Some nice lacing. Aroma of wheat and mowed grass. Flavor seems a bit off. Reminds me of naked potato. Medium bodied. Fairly dry finish.

On tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville, AR. Pours a lightly clouded pale yellow colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is thin wheats with a touch of sweetness, a light banana, hints of clove spice, and a few lemon citrus notes. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened, somewhat grainy wheats with a light banana, clove spice, and lemon citrus. A bit bready in the end as this finishes clean and lightly dry with a touch of grass. Shorter aftertaste following a light body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad hefe. Refreshing and balanced, just nothing special.

A light colored pale golden beer with a light crisp white-ish head. They didn’t serve with an orange or anything which probably would have improve the overall flavor. But as it stood it was clean and forgettable. Was overpowered by the strong food being served.

Cloudy body with a white head. The aroma was bananas and clove up front. This was a hefe. The taste was banana peels with some nasty grass. There was also some sharp clove. Yuck.
