Crosspoint TossCo. Headless gold with steady carbonation. Juicy aroma beckoning with calamine, dank fallen fruit, Chewits. Thin and acidic beyond with almond and rubbery notes; booze, no real fruit or complexity.

500ml bottle. Pours with a crystal clear yellow hue with a quick to fade white head. Aromas are sulfuric and bretty. English style dry, earthy, chimney, leather, bacon and ripe apples. Flavors are sulfury and leathery, beef jerky, meaty sulfur, bacon, light apples. Phenols and chlorophenols are distracting to say the least. Not really drinkable. Medium carbonation, off dry. Messy.

500ml bottle. Pours bright gold with low carbonation. Aroma is sweet and dry apple juice and must. Taste has dry apple juice and a very dry finish. Slight sour hint on the aftertaste.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 worldbeertaste (1121) - Lancashire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2013
Medium yellow with a thin, fizzy, disappearing, white head with no lace. Smells of rustic apples fresh from the farm, apple peel, leather, yeast, sweet apple and acidity. Light watery thin body with soft carbonation. Tastes sweet at first with a woody centre but it becomes overpowered by a bitter, acidic, dry, astringent apple finish. I don’t prefer the acidity sort of ciders but I didn’t find it offensive. Easy to drink enough and clearly not mass manufactured but more home-made.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ernest (5623) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle. Head is initially very small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately yeasty (barnyard, horseblanket), notes of apple w/skins, oak, brown sugar, band-aid, earth. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation, lightly to moderately astringent. As with the Medium cider, this is really good stuff. Wonderful aroma with lots of enticing elements working in harmony...nothing sticks out too much. Very nice flavor balance and very little carbo makes this frightfully easy to knock back as quickly as drinking water. Not quite as aromatically rich as the Medium, but a bit more drinkable/balanced (not as sweet), so the overall scores are close.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jredmond (4023) - Manhattan, New York, USA - JUL 27, 2012
Sampled at THE FESTIVAL. Pours a clear golden body. A pretty standard, plain cider - apple flavor dominates, not too sweet, not offensive, but nothing special.

Aroma is slightly faint tart apples. The flavor is tart apples, a mild sweetness and an almost medicinal quality. It was drinkable but kind of off tasting.

Pale amber pour. Orange highlights and a lot of malic tartness. Very dry flavour with a lot of apple skin character. Spicy and very firm tasting. Pretty lovely stuff.

Clear yellow pour. Aroma was cellared apples, cider vinegar, dish soap. Flavor was actually ok on the front end but then got soapy, strange and almost mean on the back. I’ve experienced this before one when I was drinking a magner’s cider. Pretty sure this may have been a bad bottle.
