Commercial Description:
Deep copper ale with distinctive fruity nose. Rich flavours of plums, vanilla and spice reflect the warmth, colours and aromas of Midwinter Yuletide. The warm 7.2% will warm the cockles of your heart, but treat this ale with the respect it deserves.

Bottle. Lightly spicey, with pruney fruit notes, but still remains relatively dry. Some cosmetic type flavours, with noticable alcohol. A bit raw.

Bottle at Chris_O London bottlefest March 07. Thanks to maeib for this one. Hazy dark brown/russet colour with thin beige head. Some spice, rich christmas cake in mouth. Decent strong ale. Malty.

ChrisFest Palma violets flavour. Attractively sweet. A warm, embracing and welcoming brown ale. Very pleasant.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Chris O’s extravaganza. Mid cloudy brown with a creamy off white head. Spicy liquorice aroma with notes of alcohol and strangely, coca cola. Flavour is more of the same with quite clear alcohol and more spice and cinnamon and general christmassy stuff. Nice and soft in the mouth. A proper yuletide beer and something a little bit different.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with a purple hue and no head. The aroma has licquorice and aniseed together with fruit and caramel. Quite subtle nice smells rather than too over powering. The taste has all of the above but there are notes of clove also making it truly Christmassy. A lovely tasty beer with a great mouthfeel and no extreme flavours at all.
