Surrey's stongest beer! Deep tawny colour, complex and powerful yet well balanced with fruity notes, and hints of chocolate & raisins. A truly stunning beer. A distinctive ale from the 'Barley Wine'

Excellent - Like this - more floral hopiness than I was expecting - all the same a damn fine brew. The Typical warmth from the malt, complemented withthe normal expected dry fruit.

Bottle, drunk 4th Oct 08. Reddish deep amber/brown. Woody taste with a sweet treacle character. Some dark rum fruitiness. Smooth. Treacle, alcohol on nose. Full bodied and warming. A good barley wine.

Bottle, 9%. Weak dried fruit flavour. Cloudy dark orange colour. No head. The flavour is sweet and fruity, dark fruit and so on. Has a little toasted notes as well, balancing off the sweetness. The alcohol is not as distinct as could be expected.
