3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle conditioned. Copper bronze with a faint haze, ezcellent tight creamy head with good lace and delicate fine natural condition. Heavy malt and assertive English hop aromas. Quite full bodied with plenty of malt and caramel balanced with good hop flavour in the mouth. Some hints of coconut and a quite agressive hop bitterness in the finish.

Tasted 02/06/2008. 500ml bottle from Regional Winesand Spirits. Pours a brilliant reddish amber with a tight creamy light tan head. I wonder where the yeast is on this bottle-conditioned ale and then notice big flocculant chunks at the bottom of the glass... a little 5-star magic there. Nutty, biscuit and caramel malt, milk chocolate, a little floral note off the yeast and a earthy, fruity, tea-like Golding aroma. Lovely! Itís a little tired in the mouth but carries through all of the above flavours with hefty, dominanant hop flavour (fuggles here too), a mild to firming bitterness and a perfectly gentle carbonation. Thisíd be a real cracker fresh, I reckon.

Lovely sweet malt aroma. Slighty zesty orangy taste, dry and quite hoppy. I always find bottle conditioned beers to be better on the whole than those which are not.

Itís a nice copper color and the head is moderate. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. The flavour is delicious!! It has notes of roasted malt, fruit, a hint of caramel and a nice bitter and hoppy finish. Very tasty and nicely balanced.
