2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Keg at Rising Sun. Short review, social. Pale yellow, clear, sparkling, small white head. Body is medium, slightly foamy, medium carbonation. Taste is light malt, metallic, soda water, slightly floral, light bitterness. A bit too metallic and watery, which makes it a below-average lager for me.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Malty aroma with some slight musty apple. Pours from 330 cl bottle with very little head and quickly goes flat. Orange gold in colour. Taste is sweet maltiness with very little bitter balance. No real carbonation and abrupt finish. Overall, not unpleasant but not that good either.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 19/07/14. A golden beer with a little white head. A bit of lychee in the hopping. Malts have sweetness but the fruitiness in the hops are overcoming that. Doesn’t have massive depth but it’s pretty nice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey golden colour with small, frothy, rapidly diminishing, white head. Bready, doughy, malty aroma, cautiously fruity and minimally floral hoppy. Taste is slightly bready, doughy, malty, a minimally fruity touch of orange, some biscuit, a touch of grassy hop. Has some potential, but isn’t fully elaborated/developed, the width of the hop flavours remains rudimentary.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the Hole in the Wall, Waterloo. Very low carbonation for a lager, pleasant grainyness with a dry hop finish. Unusual, but nice.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a orange copper colour with a small head. Aroma of grains, some dried fruits and clove. Flavour of harsh grainy malts, English hops, some cardboard and mild sweetness. Some metallic notes appear after a while. Light bodied and harsh mouthfeel. Pretty useless, but I’m guessing this bottle is past it’s prime already.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle from Grumpy Goat, Reading. Clear golden with a minimal off white head. Aroma of old English marmalade. Taste has citrus, toasted malts, land some caramel. Low carbonation and a good depth of flavour make it a very good lager.
