Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. A touch of floral hop in the aroma and a crisp taste.

Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. Some butter on the aroma some noble style hop too. Light diacetyl on aroma only really. Some toffee in the mouth . Is this a lager yeast? Not awful but not really good either. Does feel like an ale yeast though. Butter toffee for me.

Slightly darker gold, thin ish head, aroma slight sweet citrus fruit/herbal. Tastete to follow fairly bitter finish. Strong flavoured lager ale cross over type thing. I wouldn’t neck loads as strong on the flavour but Nice and bit different.

Bottle, The William Wygston, Wigston. Golden with a a fluffy foam. Sweet grain with lemon and hints of apricot. Hints of orange. Nutty with grassy notes. Some gluey plastic notes. Not bad.

330ml bottle @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy orange, white head. Sweet marmalade nose. Continues to the taste with a sweet marmalade character. Doesn’t really appear to be standard lager. Bit too bitter and sweet for me. Couldn’t finish. Don’t like marmalade either.

330ml bottle from my local Wetherspoons on 10th March 2016. An average try at a Pilsner/Lager styles beer: looked fine, golden, clear and clean with a small white head. A little hop aroma and taste, but not a lot going on really. Hoped for better from a brewery I have praised before.

Bottled, 330ml from a Wetherspoons. Gold with short white head. There is a wet cardboard, CO2 character to this but also a strong toffee, butterscotch boiled malt note. Really quite poor.

Bottle from the Standing Order. Appearance - golden with a nice head. Nose - lemon and caramel. Butterscotch? Taste - oh dear butterscotch confirmed. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could incredibly cloying. Overall - something not right with this.

Bottle up the white lady. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Butterscotch and herbs on the aroma. Taste is sickly sweet. Not nice.

Bottle at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a clear amber colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grass, some orange, subtle bready malt but slightly husky. Taste of caramel, some bready malt, slight mineral, a little grapefruit, maybe orange and subtle grassy hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, crisp, slight orange and grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Weird aroma but the taste is actually quite nice. Sweet malts and slight citrus and grassy hops. Ok.
