Cask: Regular, and bottle conditioned prior to 2012.
A malty pale golden beer with hints of banana and pineapple. An excellent balance of aroma and bittering hops followed by a long dry hoppy finish.

Sampled cask conditioned. Deep golden. Pleasant hay-like aroma. Medium bodied, some malt sweetness. Really soft mouthfeel, a hint of salt, well balanced with bitterish finish. Pleasant all the way through. Top notch as a summer ale.

The third "summer ale" sampled in a session (see also Orkney Northern Light and Butcombe Gold) and the best of the three in my view. The usual pale gold colour. Distinct citrussy character, with a hint of malt and plenty of hoppy bitterness to balance it. I sometimes find this type of beer finishes a little sweet and soft, but this one is bone dry, with plenty of bite and a good dollop of alcohol. Just what is required for a refreshing summer drink. Excellent. Handpump, The Crosse Keys, London EC3, July 2003

Enjoyed this good local ale, excellent tasting and better than Summer Lightning which i’ve also tried, nicer overall texture and flavour and a well balanced finish.

on tap at the little dudley house. in my opinion, a bit better than TEA with a bit more flavour. hoppy but also slightly zesty.

Ascot beer festival. Gold/amber colour. Smells amazing- like pineapple. Taste is bitter hops with tropical undertones. Unfortunately not as pineapply as the smell. Nice stuff though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Handpulled at the Babington Arms 1st Golden Ales Festival (JDW) Derby. Clear fresh golden body, a little liquid lemon to the aroma, biscuity tinge with a gentle sweet finish. One of the best of the fest.

Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Pale golden beer with bubbly head. Fressh, hoppy aroma leading to a light floral tangy body. Background sharp malts, but this is a play on hop flavours. Sharp, crips finish.

Cask @ Reading Festival. Golden beer with a dose of hops in there also. It’s better than their mild that was also on.

Cask @ Nag Head. Pours clear deep copper amber with a nic creamy off white head leaving lace. Aroma is malty, fruity, some floral tones and hay. Flavor is smooth, hoppy bitter, malty, fruity and slightly acidy. Finishes sweetis and longlived bitter.
