COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - Chritmas. Year round bottle conditioned.
First brewed shortly after the foundation of the brewery, OTT is a very rich, dark ale. We use 4 different malt styles - pale, crystal, chocolate and malted wheat - each of which has a unique character. Local Fuggles hops added at various stages during the boil enhances the beer’s depth. Old Tongham Tasty is named after the village where we brew in a farm on the edge of the Surrey Hills. Its complexity drinks ’like a festival of different tastes on the tongue’ - at least that’s how it was described after a lengthy sampling session.

500ml bottle - rich dark chesnut colour, and a crema type head that films quick but does linger. Rich broody darkness, lots of dark raisin, some lactic sweet/sourness with touches of caramel, burnt toffee and woody components. If not for the fatness & drinkability, it would be getting close to barley wine characters like other suggest

Deep brown colour, the head lasts only few seconds. The aroma is hoppy and very spicy, quite disappointing. The flavour is lighter than I expected, with roasted malts, a port taste and some spicy hints (coriander above all). The finish is quite hoppy and bitter. Quite balanced and particular, but not really one of my favourite beers. Anyway, I don't think this beer could be considered a true porter beer...
