Bottle (Wobble in a Bottle). Clear, red amber- glowing orange. Small head. Sweet malty and fruity aroma. Sweet flavours with fruity notes and a hint of nuts and raisins. Full body, slightly sirupy, smooth. In the end it was not that special.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mahogany red with a huge, golden head. The aroma is spicy, lightly malty and fruity. The flavour is full-bodied and complex, and it leads the thought a bit in the direction of Belgium. It has notes of dark fruit, raisin and plum, caramel licorice, spice and a light hint of grapefruit in the dry finish. It’s a really nice beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
VERY aged sample - actually 15-16 yrs, making it even more interesting...
Old Armenian brandy colour, no head. Christmas cake nose with lots of alcohol, sweet smelling and a "sourish" Christmas pudding sauce (butter& vanilla). Sweet, cakey taste, a lot of alcohol, higher alcohols, a touch of yoghurt and sultana’s. Slick, alcoholwarming with even fully liqueurish MF. Superbly age beer - which means it must have been good to start with already. Big thanks to Steve Hannigan for a taste of this!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from the bottle (Wobble in a Bottle), a very dark orange/ruby coolour with no head. A strong tangy hop aroma with some sweet maltiness in the background. An enjoyable sourness through the mouth, imparting citrus flavours and a little bit of sweet maltiness. Quite vinuous at that strength of course, warm and spicey, with a lingering tingly and bitter finish on the tongue. Will save my other bottle for Christmas.
