A Mes rate: 27.5cl bottle from Kris Wines. How many aliases does this have? Was like opening up one of those Russian dolls trying to get to this page. Anyway, excellent colour. Deep dark hazy amber with a slight off white rim and film. Unusual aroma. Nothing stands out as being odd but it’s certainly different. Strong alcohol and barley with some nice fruit and maybe a little terpentine underneath. Sadly fairly unbalanced and sticky in the mouth. Heavy tangy malt and a little to sweet with a really sticky finish. Clear alcohol. Long yeasty finish. Close, but no biscuit.

275ml bottle "Wobble in a Bottle". Slightly hazy copper colour with a thin white head;rich tropical fruit aroma;flavour is also very fruity and syrupy; lots of obvious alcohol in the finish.

Hogs Back’s strong use of hops is here well balanced by a luscious sweet malt base. The alcohol provides a rich satisfying depth. A splendid beer.

I too have the 'Santas Wobble' that omhper mentions. Pretty approachable strong ale. Nice rich barley sweetness, with some juicy, slightly citric hops at the finish. I don't get the smoke in the aroma, oh, well, ever so slightly. Spiesy hit the nail on the head with the 'savoury finish' comment, abit spicy i the finish aswell. Pretty decent. A touch syruppy and sticky.

Bottle (Wobble in a Bottle). Clear, red amber- glowing orange. Small head. Sweet malty and fruity aroma. Sweet flavours with fruity notes and a hint of nuts and raisins. Full body, slightly sirupy, smooth. In the end it was not that special.

Bottle@Home. Sourish, laurel, licorice, fruity aroma. Red colour, light hazy, beige irregular small head, no lace. Sweet, bitter, laurel, licorice, hint of fruity sourness. Very oily. Off-flavours, unblanced. Did I have a bad bottle?

Poured a hazy red-brown color. Sweet aroma of mild cherry and some sugar. also light notes of sweat. Flavor of sweet malt that was short lived. Mild bitter finish. Medium body with a dull mouth feel.
