Reminiscent in many ways of a Belgian ale (though not in texture, in which it is much more an English ale), but with a lot of intrusive elements. Syrupy, medicinal quality, showing its alcohol much more than desirable. Some hints of burnt cinnamon or other autumnal flavors. (bottle)

rauchbier (3610) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2003
Bottle conditioned. Ruby red, low head and condition. Aromas are muted but some malt is apparent, becoming more spicy in the mouth along with fruit. Full bodied and oily with a chalky bitter finish and a tingle of alcohol.

Orange colour with a medium mostly lasting orangish head. Powerful aroma and great taste of bitter hops with some sweetness. Nice palate.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 2, 2007
Bottled as Wobble in the Bottle.at Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy reddish orange colour, small bubbly foam. No visible carbonation. Big malty and fairly dry aroma of figs, dried apricots, coconuts, rum and tart cherries. Full-bodied and medium-sweet flavour of figs, nuts, coconuts, wood raisins and alcohol. Hot finish of orange-peels, almonds, pepper and alcohol. A classy English Strong.

275ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with no head at all. Aroma is stewed apples, yeasty caramel malt and some alcohol. Some malt to start. Sweet malty finish with medium bitterness. A bit flat and lifeless.

Great name, from an average brew. Fruity cherry nose with some apricot. Auburn color and a flat scumy head. Toasted malt with some raisin or fig. Mouth filling dryness but a dull hop character. Thin body but lots of alcohol through the entire profile. Good for a British beer but still something missing...

YogiBeera (2475) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 2, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 24, 2005 Dark orange - brown color. Spare head. Cherry band aid nose. Hoppy and grassy taste, medium lasting - kind of thin bodied. RERATE: 7;3;4;2;9 Hazy orange, no head, liveley carbonation. Banana and vanilly nose, very doughy, sweet yeast. Suprisingly strong alcohol, cinnamon and pepper taste but the bad thing seems to be an overdose of nutmeg which lays over you tongue and leaves a long lasting terrible aftertaste.

Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2006
BCA (from Bitter virtue). Rich malty toffee aromas. Some very light hops apparent in the flavour despite this only fairly sweet. There wasnt that much of interest here.
