Bottle picked up from Westholme, Londis, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon, had this 11-05-08 This was labelled as Wobble in a Bottle. Hazy mid-amber pour with a creamy off white head that quickly departs. Some sherry like notes on the aroma, alcohol is noticeable though doesnít really detract from the taste, bit sticky sweet at times, some dried fruits, its quite nice. I thought that it was a bit tight at this strength putting it in a 275ml bottle though, I could understand it if it was 10% or above.

Bottle, from Fin, labeled "Wobble in a Bottle". Thanks mate! Dark copper, small ring of sticky, soapy bubbles. Light caramel aroma, dates, and a whiff of grape flavor--as in the grape flavored gum that 7 year olds think is amazing. Thick sweet rummy flavor, alcohol quite forward, but that actually serves to keep a very sweet beer from being totally cloying, and a sip finishes surprisingly clean. Pleasant sipper, though a little pokey around the edges.

275ml bottle (Utobeer, London)
Deep hazy orange. Sweet fruity aroma - raisin and plum - also some marmite. Slightly fizzy palate at first, but also sweet and thick. Slightly winey taste - fruity plums and treacle. Cakey and a bit yeasty finish.

I was feeling festive so thought Iíd open this. Less than 100 days until Christmas and was feeling a little disappointed that the adverts havenít started yet. Holidays are coming and all that. Canít say this made me feel any more Christmassy but it did give me an afternoon wobble. Pleasant enough, strong aftertaste, quite sweet. Right, Iím off to buy my tree.

Bottle at JFís (Hogsback brewery shop) - 28/10/12. Clear dark amber/copper with a thin off white head. Nose of sweet malts, toffee fudge, butterscotch. Tastes of dark toffee, dark fruits, prunes, dates, caramelised sugars, touch of booze. Higher end of medium bodied with fine carbonation leading to a fruity finish.

Bottled. (As Wobble in a Bottle) Brownish orange and hazy, with a beige head. Looks really deliciuos. Hops, a light maltiness, and some caramel in the aroma. Quite volatile. The flavor has a good dash of alcohol, with caramel sweetness and some hoppiness. Fullbodied beer, and a finish with alcohol and hops. (060604)

(Bottle 27,5 cl) Comes as "Hogs Back Wobble in a Bottle". Pours a hazy, dark amber with an off-white head. Fruity, sweetish nose. Rather full-bodied - a bit flat - very pleasant fruity accents - peach? Hoppy finish. Quite pleasant. 120207
