Good lacing, brilliantly bright, deep copper mahogany colour. Aroma is sweet caramel from crystal, dusty hoppiness. Taste is fruity caramel, surprisingly firm bitterness upfront. Lovely jubbly.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Deep copper colour with a tan head. Aroma of mild malt and fruit, taste similar with some hop, giving a good balance. Average carbonation.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein rötlichbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, Karamell, fruchtig. Geschmack trocken fruchtig, malzig, Karamell.

A bit of a lifeless pour--minimal white head--but lovely deep, clear reddish brown colour. Enticing freshly baked granary bread aroma. Low carbonation, medium-bodied. Flavour balanced towards malt character in my opinion, with low bitterness. Pleasant toffeeish and somewhat mineral-like aftertaste. A good quaffable pint on draught I imagine.

Simple beer without any depth of flavour or aromas. Off-white head dissipates quickly. Slight caramel aroma. Light bitter finish with slight carbonation. Decent but not great beer.

50cl bottle, bbe aug2014. Dark amber, thin white head. Butterscotch, malt, fruity notes, some berries as well. Decent aroma, but the flavor was not really to my liking, malty nutty but also harsh, more in the finish.

500ml bbeNov14 ar: caramel malt. ap: mid-amber, with rapidly disappearing head. ta: caramel malt, with only a bittering addition of hops. moderate sweetness, light-mod bitterness.pa: light-med body, fairly thin texture, carb average-soft, finish: sweet malt. ov: disappointing. This beer has lost a lot of character since being filtered rather than bottle-conditioned.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2014 Bottle. Copper with no head at all. Faint caramel malt, honey, biscuit aroma. Sweet taste, balanced with an almost vinous sourness. A good enough beer, just not terribly exciting.
