Aroma has nuts, some malty notes and toffee. Flavour has woody notes, butterscotch, some toffee and hops. This one has even some chocolate character. A bit different bitter – in a good way.

Taste is malty and biscuity with some cereals, vomit flavour on the palate which spoils the beer

Pale brown colour. A full flavoured and well balanced bitter. Good session beer with nice balance of quite sweet and fruity malt and a little bit of hop dryness.

Clear amber colour with an off white head. Bittersweet taste but more sweet than bitter. Hint of caramel. Easy to drink.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Coppery brown dark amber colour, foam white head that leaves alittle lacing and aroma is minerally with some honeyish malt & caramel. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, toffee, plus floral fruity & woody notes with earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, some residual sweetness & lingering light bitterness at the finish. OK Bitter.

Bottle, 22/08/13. Pours a golden orange with a decent, off-white head. Aroma is a decent caramel, a lot of floweriness. Taste is a lot of both; caramel and flowers. Maybe even a slight grassiness. It’s a bitter, yeah. Very full flavor. As the pint goes forward, an unpleasant berriness creeps in on the finish. Light with not much carbonation.

Clear brown with a thin head. Aroma of wet cardboard and staleness. Taste of some hopes and biscuit, some roasting and caramel, not nearly as oxidized as aroma would imply. Palate a bit toasty and biscuity.

Bottle. Nose; wet cardboard, stale malts, dust slight cereal light hops. Very unpleasant. Taste is much better than the nose, cereal, light toffee, light berry. Light bitter finish. Mouthfeel oily. Doesn’t work as a bottled beer I suspect. Nose is awful taste is Ok.
