COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our inaugural and flagship style is a European-inspired lager with superior flavour derived from using only premium ingredients combining three malt types (2-Row, Munich and Vienna), unique Saaz hops and German lager yeast. The result is a crisp, flavourful lager experience.

Clear golden pour with a white slightly clingy head. Just a hint of lacing. Smells like wet grass and hops. Assaultingly sweet. I totally wasn’t expecting this. I really must admit: I’ve been drinking full bodied strong seasonal beers tonight. Maybe my tastes are off due to that, but this tastes like a sweet bowl of grass and clover. That said it’s still better than if I had went to the fridge and stole one of my Dad’s Molson XXX. I probably owe Hogsback a re-rate at some point.

Rien! Can from lcbo. Pours gold with a white head. Light lemon and bread aroma. Light to medium body, medium carbonation. Some caramel, lemon, very bready... Poor.

473ml can. Solid lager, no off notes, good balance, refreshing body. Worth a try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours a light orange with grassy aroma. flavour is strong lager malt with good hop character. As a typical North American lager, I was quite impressed with the full flavour found in this one. Great work in bringing life to a typically-boring style.

Light pour with a white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, and a little sweet. Taste is more grain with a tart sweetness that isn’t as nice as it smelled

Pours a clear golen yellow colo with a large white head. Grassy malty aroma. Sweet mouth with a bit of bitterness. Ok

473 can from the Beer Store. Meh... Pours a golden colour with thin head. Aroma is malt. Taste is the same. Not bad. But there’s so many better beers out there...

473ml can. Pours a clear pale gold with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty malt heavy, sweet Austrian style malt notes, and light straw. Slightly sweet, with more heavy malt notes, good minerality, and some woody/straw notes in the finish. This is totally solid, and one of the better Ontario lagers on the market. It’s just unfortunate I can get something of the same quality from Europe for so much less.
