Cask. Golden-amber, light haze. No sparkler on this one. Assertive hop, leafy grapefruit, lemon balm, very appetizing. Yeah, it’s a bit syrupy, no surprise there, but some nice floral and pithy hop notes, too. Finishes a bit too cloying- gotta keep it light for cask- but not bad.

On cask at the brewery. Slightly hazy golden with a big creamy head and great lacing. Big earthy, fresh cut grass, somewhat floral, oranges, honey, and doughy aroma. Taste is very smooth - grassy, floral, honeysuckle, snappy, doughy, an grapefruit with a medium bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Right on point - great mouthfeel - and very well balanced.

Cask @ the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty piney hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

Clear gold with a medium foamy white head. Aroma is nicely hopped (American?) but by no means acidic or heavy. Smells a bit like earthy fresh picked hops with grass and light grapefruit rind, balanced with a bit of toffee-ish tones. Flavor is creamy and balanced with a lovely fresh-hop grassy bitterness and crisp blonde sweetness. Earthy leafy hops and a grapefruit-like bitterness are subdued but play a wee part in the start of the taste. A nice balanced and restrained ipa.

On cask at the brewery (this is the Chinook dry-hopped version, also sampled the Galena hop version previously). Poured a clear, glowing golden color with a dense, creamy white head that left great lacing as it receded. Aroma of fresh, leafy hops paired with a bright citrus (orange, ripe apricot, pineapple even), some faint pine, and a light spiciness. Smooth, crisp entry with some delicate citrus notes (apricot, orange rind) that leads into a more agressive citrus hoppiness (grapefruit, orange pulp, pineapple) paired with a leafy, earthy hoppiness that follows into the moderately bitter, spicy, earthy finish that lingers on the palate. Crisp, smooth mouth feel that makes you feel bad about taking a break from enjoying. Overall, this bright, easy drinking IPA from an English style brewery puts a lot of "American IPA’s" to shame. Awesome work from Hogshead.

On cask @ Hogshead. Pours a clear golden color with a nice white head. Really nice aroma. Tons of grapefruit, orange, and some pine. Notes of pineapple and peach as well. Flavor is sweet pineapple and peach along with tons of grapefruit. Light pine bitterness, some bready malt, and dough. Really nice.

Cask - pale gold, frothy head - very crisp, crackery, clean - the beauty of this brewer’s beer is often in the expressive malts and complex yeast profile, but it, it is all about the hops - crisp, citric, tropical (pineapple) - maybe a little bit of mustiness from.the yeast, but mostly a great hop showcase, and quite a quaffable one.

On cask at Hogshead poured a clear gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of crackers, lemon zest, floral notes, peach and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness and citrus with a smooth dry moderatly bitter lingering earthy finish.
