Tastes moudly (not uncommon for a kellerbier) but unbalanced: mould nose and sweet aftertaste. Needs a good kick of freshness or grassiness. As it stands a drinkable brew, but nothing that sets the mouth on fire with delight.

McTapps (5716) - Ruhrcity, GERMANY - MAY 22, 2015
Bottle from Dilo in Bochum. The beer has got a light hazy golden-yellow colour with a small head and medium to thin body. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of old hops, malt, light acid, grains and bread, Strawy-hoppy finish. Drinkable, yet nothing very good.

Daumen hoch.

Bottled, from Biershop Bayern. Hazy pale golden, rich firm head. Doughy nose with mild spicy hops. Mid sweet with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Sweet cottony dough, dried by spicy hay-lie hops. Mid bitter finish with notes of sugar.

Earl Of Essex. Keg. Light haze on this pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft with mild fine carbonation. Smooth and mildly creamy pale malts with that characteristically German touch of light caraway - nuts. Light dry floralness. Whisper of citrus. Light smooth semi dry finish. Clean and very German!

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy pale yellow, thin white head. Aromas of light sulphur, cabbage, cooked lemon. Taste is macro-lager-esque, slightly sweet and astringent. Medium body. Clean enough finish, but not great.

Bottle. Light golden, hazy, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, faint bread and hoppyness. Body is light medium, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel and faint bread. Finish is short to average, malty - grainy and dryish - lightly sweetish, light caramel and bread, light metal and faint hoppyness. Thin-bodied kellerbier with notes of sharp metal - lacks almost totally bitterness.
