Shared bottle at local tasting, thanks to Sigmund. Pours clear like water, harsh alcohol aroma, marzipan and almonds. Taste of sweet grapes, light mouthfeel, the best sake i have tasted, but this is not gonna be a regular drink for me. Taste was a lot better than suggested by the aroma.

Big green bottle kindly shared by Sigmund, and saved by gunnar. Clear pale grass colored body with no head. Rice, sweet, fruity nose reminiscent of the smell of windscreen washer fluid. Sweet, light bitter and light salty flavors with yeast and nuts present. Full body. Alco warmth. Dry tongue.

Clear body with just a very faint yellow hue. Quite simple and rather faint aroma, with baker’s yeast, rice and a touch of fruits. Light sweet taste and quite acidic. Flavours are baker’s yeast, rice, alcohol. Quite thin body. A decent sake, but all the other sakes I’ve rated so far (i.e. 1) are better.

720 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 17.2%. Expensive. Still and clear sake, nearly colourless, with just a faint greyish-yellowish hue. Fairly strong aroma of raw alcohol, rice and mushrooms, hints of marzipan. The flavour is slightly better than the aroma, some spicy notes, hints of white wine, warming mouthfeel. I still don’t get what’s the big deal about sake.
