At least one a day. This, the most popular brand in the Pivovar Holba, a.s. range, has an unusually rich flavour and the perfect tang of bitter hops.

0,5l can with 4,7ABV. Large head, nice colour. Malty start, getting dryer towards the finish, with very dry-hopped aftertaste.

Golden color, good creamy white head, lace. Light lemony-hoppy nose. Light-bodied. Sweet, fruity-lemony flavor. Easy to drink, light and simple Czech brew.

I was browsing through my favorite store (has a great selection of beers - for Croatia), and I saw a 0.5l can of this in a cooler. Great, I think, a new beer. I started walking to the counter with one can of this, and I passed a bunch of this on the discount "aisle". I never saw how much this cost, so I took a glance. I stopped in my tracks. A 0.5l can of this cost somewhere around 35 cents(euro). I couldn’t believe my eyes. I immediately ran towards the fridge, and got 3 more. So, how did the beer turn out ? Lovely herbal/malty aroma. Very fizzy, golden colour, typical white head. Nothing special. The taste ? Well, this is where this fell short. Very watery, so, smooth I guess. Some metallic hints (I thought that this was the can, but probably isn’t). You have to strain to get some flavor from this. Maybe a bit malty, but that’s that. It had a long bitter hoppy aftertaste though. I mentioned that I bought 4 bottles, well I gave three to my classmates. 5 out of six said that this was crap. The sixth one likes K-Plus. Enough said. How can a beer have such an aroma, and such an aftertaste without having actual taste.

Tapped. Golden colour, huge white head. Typical lagerish bitter malty/hoppy aroma. Typical lager in flavour too, which mainly was malty with weak metallic hints. One of the poorer Czech beers I’ve had.

A somewhat apply aroma that borders on offensive. Pours with huge terrible cheap-beer head. Brought from Brno to America - Almost wish I hadn’t. Has a strange flavor, almost like it kept the metallic aluminum of a can...except this came from a bottle. Even so, there are worse Bohemian you can have. Unlike most of them, though, this one lieaves a finish in your mouth, albeit, not a good one.

(Draught@Vltava, Helsinki) Golden color with a medium head. Mild, somewhat buttery aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Buttery, malty, sweetish, acidic and slightly metallic flavor. Quite light-bodied, a bit hard-carbonated palate. A not very memorable, decent but light and hard-carbonated lager.

i have a bit of a soft spot for moravian pilsners. this had a full malty, rockmelon sweetness and some restrained tea-like hops giving it quite a dry finish

Bottle. Not bad. Slightly sappy sort of flavour, with some dry peach and bitter hops in the finish, just your average Czech pils.

Very pale golden in colour, this is the most widely seen of their beers on draught and so named as Serak is a mountain near Hanusovice. Some grassy hop is evident in the nose, taste and finish with some creamy maltiness present. Far better than the 10 degree, and far better on draught than the fizzy bottles. (sampled on draught in station bar, Hanusovice)
