3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20The bottles I bought from B&M Bargains in Blaydon profess to contain a 5.2% beer: 500 ml bottle poured fridge cold into a chalice. Bright gold with a white disappating head that laces down the glass. Lemon aroma. Lemon-lime and cowpasture flavour, including the cowpats. I notice some raters have been less enthusiastic, but I like this. Well balanced, medium bodied, slightly oily texture, average carbonation. Bitter finish.

Classic European Pilsner. One dimensional, very malty with just enough bitterness. long malty dry aftertaste. Very pleasant surprise for the price. I really love this beer. Reminds me of home in Germany for some reason. Not a beer to be interested in for it’s complexities, novelty or flawless execution, just a darn good beer to drink. Great ice cold. I would recommend this as a replacement for a Budweiser. It’s cheaper and about 5 times as good.

A bright, golden beer with a medium, long-lasting and white head. Aroma malts, some grass, butter. Taste of rich malts, bitterness that is slightly herbal. The aftertaste is quite long, malt and quite dry. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Rich of malts, enough of bitterness, traditional and tastefull Bohemian Pilsner.

Sturdy enough pilsener with a light aroma for this style. it also has a light texture making it easy to drink.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours clear pale copper in color with a thin bubbly, fast disapearing head. Hay, butter and straw in aroma. Dry. Grassy, malty and buttery in taste. Some grassy bitterness in finish.

Yellow, medium white head. Nose is sweet malt, grassy hops, vaguely fruity hints. Taste is malts, sweet fruity hints with weak to medium hoppy bitterness in the finish. Thin to medium body, lively, but not overly aggressive carbonation. Easy to drink, pretty OK.

50cl bottle. Lager like color with medium white head. Neutral nose, like most of lagers. Aroma has nice fruits and sweetness, all in all quite a refreshment. Not balanced but good for easy going.
