UPDATED: DEC 29, 2010 Very dark brown with a small tan head. Weak aroma of malt, licorice, grain. Cloying sweet malty flavour caramel and a slightly roasted note.

CBF 2012: Dark brown, almost black. Light brown head, fully diminishing. Aroma has some sweet roasted notes. Flavor is mainly sweet, some notes of soy-sauce and laqurice.

Bottle. Creamy light brown good mostly lastinge head. Dark red amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. MOderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle.Pitch black colour with medium beige head.Aroma is rosted and malty with taste of licorice and malt,sweet and unbalanced with slight sour mouthfeels and odd hint of soy aswell.

Bottle at EB Julebrygs Smagning. Clear dark dark brown (almost black) - offwhite head. Roasted, sourish notes, light acid, high malty, fruity, coffee notes, dark chocolate.

Near black, small head. Aroma of blood and tin. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Molasses and caramel leads up to a light tarry finish.

CPH BF 2011. Quite much pitch black colour, small beige head. Aroma is red berries, some tooffee and mild sour wood with some roasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same with stronger roasted notes and also the toffee is more evident. Also has some roasted coffee and mild yeastyness.

Fine head, black. nose is salty with bitterness and not very pleasant. medium body and short. taste is chockolate and bitter chocolate. Overall the nose iworse than the taste.
