COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor's note: This beer was formerly known as Holbæk Brown Ale.
The bottled version has been brewed at Herslev Bryghus and holds 6.5% ABV.

English: A dark and full-bodied ale with a light sweetness from the caramel malt. It is brewed with a mix of three different types of malt, soft water, english bittering hops and aroma hops, which gives the beer a fruity aroma and a distinct malt character.

Draught @ KØ 2006: Light brown coloured. Small beige head. Sweetness and light cocoa in the aroma. Quite sugary flavour. Has some caramelly notes, but not much. Fruit notes is present. Is thin bodied. Has some dryness. Ends on dusty caramelly note. Oh well, I guess Holbæk is off my "Places I have to go" sheet.

Draught. I said it was infected, but the woman behind the desk said it was ok, so? Red brown colour with a small off-white head. Weak caramel, butter aroma and a caramel malty, light sour, butter taste. Medium body with a light dry, light sour finish.

An unclear deep red beer with a dense light brown head - looking at the color I’d never guess, that this is a brown ale. The aroma is slightly acidic and malty, with light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of chocolate and roasted malt.

(On tap) Hazy, slightly muddy orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Light roasted, caramelish aroma. Loads of wonderful fruit esters on a soft and very malty background. Short, dry, bitter finish. Quite wellmade with a somewhat rustic "homebrewed" touch. 230805

Draft. Nazy, nut color. Very small head. Toffee and roasted malt flavor. This beer needs some umph. But it’s pleasant and promising for this new brewhouse.
