UPDATED: MAY 14, 2007 (On tap) Unclear dark brown with an orange glow. Delicate, creamy, fine structured, beige head - almost Guinness-like and velvety. Unfortunately it collapses rather fast. Very fruity aroma with some refined esters of almonds and marzipan. Very soft body with notes of citrus - mandarin - but at the same time a warmer, more christmasy flavour structure of dried fruits and honey. Lightly vinous finish almost without any bitterness. You also get a glimpse of some burned notes from the dark malt. The warming alcohol is present, but yet deceptively well hidden. A bit low in carbonation, but the brewer promises, that this will be fixed. A very promising and christmasy brew, yet light and very quaffable. 271005

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a dense, yellowish head. Spicy aroma with some licorice. Medium body sweet notes of fruit - oranges in particular - spices and also dried fruit. Unfortunately there’s a vague, underlying tartness which I don’t believe is intentional. 7/3/6/3/12= 3.1 090507

Pours a clear and dark reddish brown beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is plastic, phenolic, spices and orangepeel. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall this beer could be infected.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2012 Bottle... Sheard by Mini Martin :) Pours clear Dark Brown with a non existing head The aroma is malt and some spices..... The flavor is also malts, licorice , orange and some spices.....

Draught at EB Julebrygs Smagning. Clear brown - offwhite head. Ryebread, light yeasty, phenols, berries, nice malty, licorice, nutty notes, peppery, spicy.

Cloudy mahogany with a medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel, orange peel and anise. Flavour was nicely composed with roasted malt, caramel, liquerice and hops. Not bad.

Bottle. Reddish brown body with amedium off white head. Fruity, malty and light spicy aroma and flavour. Bit one dimensional but ok.

appears a nice brown, with a small offwhite head. aroma is dark fruits, boose. flavor is sugar, dark fruits, well balanced.

Bottle. Aroma with malt, liquorice and orange. Dark brown colour with soft light brown head. Flavor reflects the aroma very well, slight bitterness. Moderate carbonation.

Dark red with beige head. Aroma of malt and yeast with a tint of liquorice and perhaps some spicies. The flavor is similar sweet caramel and a finish of liquorice.

Brown color with small head. Taste orange and a bit licquorice. Not so bad.

Deep brown colour ith small head.roma is sweet of oranges and spices.slight sour finish.
