COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor's note: This beer has both been brewed at Holbæk Bryghus and at Herslev Bryghus. All bottles are brewed at Herslev Bryghus.

English: This pitch black beer is the house speciality. The style is a hybrid between a stout and a schwarzbier. The dark roasted malts adds a characteristic flavour with notes of coffee and dark chocolate. It has a distinct ’dark’ flavor, yet it is still light and refreshing.

Thanks to faster Pernille for this one. Pitch black with a fine foamy brown head. Disappears too fast fithout lacings though. Aroma is sweet malty, with some clean hob notes, and a little bit of chocolate. Flavor is very very clean aswell, abit watery for a stout acctually, but it still has definate notes of chocolate, and a burned bitter finish. Good for what it is, but not a very intense stout.

Bottle shared by sliffy at cbus 9. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is fruity, roasted malts, sugary, with some chocolate. Flavor is dark fruits, some chocolate, coffee. Palate is on the medium to light, a little thin for my liking, medium carbonation, finished bitter. Just OK.

Bottled (6.0%, thanks Papsoe). Deep dark brown colour, near to black. Small brown head. Aroma is oxidized malts, hops and mild alcohol. Flavour is quite oxidized and acidic. Roasted malts, some wood, alcohol and a bit earth. BBE was 10/07, so not too old...

Almost black opaque clor, small firm beige head, some lace. Grainy-papery and roasted aroma. Sourish flavor, some grainy notes, light roasty malty flavors. Ash and tobacco present. Propably a bit out of date.

C-Bus 9 thanks to Papsoe again for this one: Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma, fruity, roasted malts, sugary, with some chocolate. Flavor, dark fruits, some chocolate, coffee. Body was on the lighter side, which detracted a little bit. Solid.

Bottle. [Thanks to Papsoe] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Pitch black color. Spare lacework. The sniff gave impression of sweet chocolate and roasted malt. Over the palate some sour notes appeared, maybe because it was infected? Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light sweet and sour notes. Light sour finish.

Københavnske Øldage 07. Black/brown with a reddish hue and the head is light brown, nice and creamy. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and so has the flavour, where I find notes of licorice, caramel and a sufficient, but light, bitterness. Quite harmonic. 2082
