Bottled. A black beer with a thick beige head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle. A black beer topped by a big, diminishing tan head. Roasted aroma with chocolate and coffee, licorice, burnt notes and a slight sour burnt note. The flavor has a nice sweetness added to all that, finishing with burnt malts and a little licorice flavor. Full-bodied, warming and dry. A nice one, maybe a bit on the burnt side, but an enjoyable beer anyway. 100414

Clear dark black brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, burnt malt, smoke - peat, chimney - chimney smoke, light to moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy bitter with a long duration, coffee. Body is medium but also thin ! texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100311]

50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted. Smoked and tarish aroma. Smooth malty and roasted. Light sweet presence and lingering smoked note. Ends dry and spiced with a smoked finish.

Near black with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, espresso and dark chocolate. Sweet flavour with burned malt, chocolate and bitter hops hops. Not bad.
