COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Special - March 2006 also seen March 2010.
This dirty blonde beer is sweetly coy and charming with a gentle malty aroma and subtle hoppy undertones, which develop into a refreshing and restorative drink. Brewed using Bramling Cross hops and Maris Otter malt. A real lady!
In the Nineteenth Century, Cradley Heath was renowned throughout the world for its production of nails. The town’s reputation was built on the fact that in hundreds of factories thousands of poorly paid workers were relentlessly producing "the staples of industry".
The Feeder Wench was the girl responsible for hand feeding metal into the nail making machines. It was hot, dirty and noisy work. Usually working in rows of 10 Feeder Wenches, the pace of production was so relentless that for every two Feeder Wenches there was a spare feeder who would take over if a girl needed to leave her machine.

Cask conditioned at Far from the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Honey god with white head. Subtle is a good term for this, light malty body, smooth with a honeyed, thick note then a gentle bittering hop, all understated but giving reasonable depth. Easy, light finish.
