(Cask at Harp, Covent Garden, London, 26 Nov 2009) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity nose with apricots, orange and grainy malt. Fruity, malty taste with notes of apricots, orange, grain malt and generous doses of citrussy hops in a slightly metallic, dry finish. Medium body. Well balanced and nice beer with a tasty hop character.

Cask conditioned handpump The Pub Leicester. A copper coloured beer with a loose white coloured head. An odd one this and seemingly quite different to Glen’s experiences a couple of days earlier when I chose soemthing different. The aroma was like sherry coated cake . Quite peaty in the mouth with boozy biscuits. Doubtless quite odd and a bit of a struggle but has endearing qualities I guess.
