3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nevele (9) - - SEP 1, 2012A very smooth (especially for an 8% alcohol percentage) beer. A nice dubbel style ale. A honey/vegemite(!) aroma, taste has some cognac in it. Very nice and smooth, but just misses a little bit of ’oomph’
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bif (1021) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 27, 2013
Pours a dark copper color with a small head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, some roasted, bit of caramel sweetness and spices. Tatse of dark fruit some caramel sweetness with a bit of spice in the background. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, smooth with just a hint of the 8.0% ABV. Enjoyable sipper to relax with. Has a warming feeling that takes the edge off a cold evening

Pours deep amber. Aroma is syrupy sweet. The flavour is overdone on candi syrup to the point that it tastes faintly of autolysis. Needs improvement
