2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a bad beer but wouldn’t get it again. It’s not really my type of thing even though I like most Holgate beers.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Pours hazy golden amber with small loose white head. Pleasant aroma - citrus, pine, hints of grass, biscuits and cardboard. Light body with rather fizzy carbonation. Taste is light on malt and heavy on hops giving some imbalance. Starts with tart citrus notes with the slightest biscuity malt, becomes a little watery in the mid-palate and then some good hoppy bitterness develops in the finish. Pleasant enough but rather unbalanced.
Seems to have had a name change to Mt. Macedon Pale Ale.

Another solid Aussie APA. Love the unfiltered honey colour. Medium hops, citrus, maybe grapefruit. Definitely try again.

Draught at The Globe. Sweet citrus and caramel character, nutty cereals, bittersweet finish. Nothing too exciting but fairly drinkable hoppy amber ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle tasted at Mane. For a simple session type ale this is pretty decent stuff. Mildly hoppy, goes down fresh and fruity and clean. Nice stuff

330ml bottle into schooner. Erupts wildly out of the bottle. Citric spicy nose. Grapefruit and pepper? Cloudy dark amber with settling off white head. Bitter clean taste. Short bitter creamy finish. Excellent.
