COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A very tempting extreme twist on the classic robust porter, brewed with over 300 kg of malt and infused with a dash of rich Dutch cocoa and whole vanilla beans. Luscious chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavors are balanced by a hint of vanilla and a body of 6% alcohol. A perfect winter warmer or a complement to meat pies and chocolate-based desserts. A definite "unisex" beer with great appeal for both guys and gals.

Bottle. Black with small crema head. Caramel malt, coffee, cocoa and heaps of vanilla on the nose. The chocolate is pronounced and quite bitter and separate from the malt sweetness. Surprisingly savoury - it really could work with a pie.

Bottle. Exceptional beer. Aroma has chocolate, raisins, and roasted malt. Sweet start, with good balancing bitterness, long duration. Syrupy in the palate, full-bodied. Dark brown colour, with a fizzy white head.

Bottled. Brown colour with light tan head. Elegant, almost subtle cocoa and coffee aroma. Fluffy mouthfeel, with subtle, bit grainy flavours from milk chocolate, cocoa and tad vanilla. Pretty light in body and overall feel. Really elegant beer with small nuances. Low bitterness.

Perfect silky porter with enough of the vanilla and chocolate flavour coming though to make it interesting but not overpowering. A very classy beer

330ml bottle. Rich dark black with a thin light tan head. Rich aroma of chocolate and roasted coffee beans. You can taste chocolate and cocoa, nice mouthfeel. Pleasant and not as heavy as it looks.

Very dark copper pour with a moderately sized tan head that slowly fades. Aroma consists of mil chocolate, roasted malt, sultanas and just a hint of vanilla (it merges with the chocolate). Loads of chocolate grain evident upon tasting: lots of nutty and toasty note with a hint of roasted grain but little of the roasty bitterness. Some light chocolate is apparent. Good medium body, I would have liked it to be richer/creamier.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a short tan head that doesn’t last long. Chocolate is first up on the nose quickly followed by toasted malts, yeast concentrate (vegemite) and coffee. In the mouth it’s a bit thinner than the nose suggests but it is still far from watery. Flavour doesn’t feature chocolate as strongly, although it is there, but coffee and malt really stand out. A pretty good porter, one of the better Australian ones that I have tried.
