3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330 ml bottle courtesy of nate2g. Lovely chocolate aroma. Flavour is a bit watery, thin but pleasant. Some autolysis. This one is probably getting a bit old, I foumd it hiding on the cellar...

Bottle. Whoa - this was a lot of beer! Lots of dark chocolate and not coffee notes to dry it out. I really liked this, but I wouldn’t be able to drink too much of it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It’s good to drink a chocolate-based beer that actually has a fair whack of chocolate character running through the palate. Dark chocolate kicks in very nicely, particularly in the back palate, but does need to fit a little against some fizz and an otherwise non descript porter base beer. No doubt will appeal to the ladies!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Chocolate. Quite a bit of it too. This is the pervading flavour. A robust build with the trademark porter roastiness giving way to the full chocolate flavours. Easily these guys best beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330mL bottle. Pours maroon-black with almost no head, though it does form a ring that leaves a little lacing behind. Aroma is roasted malt with a hint of chocolate and smoke. Flavour is roasty, slightly smoky, with noticeable bitterness that leaves impressions of coffee and just a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Medium bodied, average carbonation, tingly on the palate with a bitter and slightly astringent finish. Good stuff.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle at Loch Ness, Stockholm.
Small brown foam. Big chocolate aroma like from a jar of Cacao. The taste resembles a choclate soda but without the sweetness. Where is the body and where is the bitterness?

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled at Bishop’s Arms SoFo, Stockholm. Near black, small head. Rich milky chocolate aroma. Mid-sweet with soothing, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Lots of cocoa powder and vanilla, which dominates the beer completely. Finishes with more milk chocolate and low bitterness. An upfront one-flavour beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk.
Pours deep ruby-red (almost black). A small, creamy, beige head. Fair duration. Aroma has soft roasted malts, caramel, liqourice. Lightly vinious. Medium carbonation, great dry mouthfeel. Flavour has some rubber, roasted malts, liqourice, subdued chocolate and is lightly vinious. Very nice, but it does feel more like a Barley Wine than a Porter.
