COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Mocha Porter
A luscious warming mouthfeel, with coffee induced bitter notes contrasting with sweet chocolate and vanilla. Dangerously easy to drink, liqueuresque in flavour with a kahlua like finish. Like The Goddess Europa on her Bull, its’s easy to get carried away by this little dark number.
Available from 11th Feb 2011 in kegs as Limited Release, and sometime after Easter 2011 in 750mL bottles, approx. 120 only. Very limited and very special!

500mL Champagne bottle from Slowbeer Proper looking dark beer - jet black body, holds dense brown head. Seriously intense aroma; lots of treacle/molasses/candy sugar thing going on, dark roast coffee, bitter cocoa, licorice & dried fruit/liqueur dessert wine undertones. Thick oil, viscous texture, low carbonation, warming, once again, liqueur-like. Big flavours explode on the palate - dark candy sugar, cocoa, black coffee, charred nuts, dried fruits. Big bitterness, warming finish, not particularly sweet - at all really! Full on stuff - proper after dinner beer - doesn’t sugar coat chocolate/coffee thing.

Wow, smooth and chocolaty. Dark brown with medium airy beige head. Aroma is equal parts chocolate and roast grains. Taste is more so with a little smoke and wood. velvety smooth body, nice subtle bitter finish.

Bottle tasted at Mane. Pours dark brown with a sticky tan head. Nose is loaded with vanilla, some brown sugar, smooth espresso and dark chocolate. Very decadent stuff with a heavy cocoa powder feel to the beer. Loads of mocha notes swinging towards a chocolate driven style. Not overly sweet which is pleasing. Very tasty

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is malt, roasty, dried fruit and chocolate. Taste is medium sweet leading to a roasty and caramel leading to a dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle from The Wine Emporium September 2013. Nice big head of foam atop a thick looking black beer that Is actually a lot thinner than it looks. Vanilla, toffee and dark chocolate dominate.

Bitter cacao aroma and warm alcohol notes. What a looker this is, super fine dark tan head. Dark brown colour and a touch of ruby. Dark berries and alcohol are at the front of the taste. Some bitter chocolate but I dont get any coffee. Good body for a porter. Needs more balancing of the alcohol to be great.

Small beige head. Barely translucent deep dark red body. Roasty chocolatey sherry aroma with honey and vanilla fudge notes. Dry-sweet honey vanilla fudge and sherry taste with earthy chocolatey notes. Mid-to-full body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish roasty wooden chocolatey aftertaste with licorice spice and vanilla fudge notes. Nice, drinkable, full of flavour, quite delicate, complex. (0.65l bottle, from ?)
