Imperial Mocha Porter
A luscious warming mouthfeel, with coffee induced bitter notes contrasting with sweet chocolate and vanilla. Dangerously easy to drink, liqueuresque in flavour with a kahlua like finish. Like The Goddess Europa on her Bull, itsís easy to get carried away by this little dark number.
Available from 11th Feb 2011 in kegs as Limited Release, and sometime after Easter 2011 in 750mL bottles, approx. 120 only. Very limited and very special!

500ml bottle, poured into a snifter glass. Appearance is clear brownish black with a medium sized creamy mocha head with good retention. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, muscovado, vanilla, coffee and a hint of alcohol. Taste is light sweet with a medium bitterness. Palate is full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Overall a great Imperial Porter, just a little too bitter, and the alcohol is slightly noticeable in the aftertaste.

Opaque black - brown beer with a big pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, slightly dry. Mild fine carbonation. Malt cream with dry mocha coffee and mild vanilla and lactose. Touch of citric hop, well buried. Dry finish. Itís fine but too much dry mocha for my taste.

Smells slightly of coffee but tastes of chocolate and fruity. Very smooth for 10%, a dangerous beer.

13-SEP-2013, bottle @Ulkloebben tasting, @Erik. Clear, dark amber with lasting tan head. Aroma is roasted with coffee. Taste the same. Very porter-like. I cannot detect the 10%. Medium body and carbonation. Fine.
