Bottle. Ugh. The typical green bottle lager. Laden with skunk and vegetable up front, but lets not be too harsh ... Itís just a regular olí Euro lager. Donít let it age. Serve cold. (#4937, 1/25/2013)

This is a beer with no character, but it has little flaws. It works as a drinking beer for casual distraction and companions. Low malt and hops ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma is malty with light hops. The appearance is golden. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall not that good.

Itís a pretty bad beer. I had a good laugh about it looking like Heineken. It is what it is, you probably paid about $1 per beer.

Bottle. Pours a straw color with no real head. Aroma of grain, bit of malt sweetness and a bit musty. Taste of mild malt sweetness and grain. Light body, with a gritty texture. Run of the mill Euro-lager.

Just sampled this side by side with Heineken. They are using a different yeast strain as the aroma is very different, in my opinion better. Heineken is somewhat dryer by comparison, but for $5.99 a six pack at Aldi, you cannot go wrong. Typical Europils and still way better than American macrobeers. For the price, a good thirst quencher.

33cl green bottle, Golden pour. Mild aroma, no skunk. Falvor is vaguely fruity, lightly oxidized, overall unassuming and unoffensive.

Quite fine beer but still a macrobrewery lager. Nice aroma and can be drank with no complaints knowing this.

Aldi USA import that tries to mimic Heineken. An inexpensive import, slightly skunky with hops. Easy drinking but not a flavorful as Heineken.

It poured a pale golden yellow color with no head. The aroma was of sourish grainy character, corn and some straw. The taste was similar with a touch of sour, some grain and a bland finish.
