Can: clear yellow gold, 2 finger rocky cap with modest retention, well carbonated. Aroma of cooked cereals, some noble hop tones, not bad. Flavor is light, malty, clean light hop balance, fast dry finish. A decent enough commercial pils, a bit thin and not as good as Bavaria premium but OK.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 GoufCustom (221) - HONG KONG - MAR 24, 2013
330 ml can bought at DCH Food Mart in Sheung Shui. Clear golden yellow colour; Half finger head and white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Small lacing and fizzy carbonation; Sweet and pungent smell of malt, grain, light wet cardboard and light grass; Taste of strong malt, light grape juice, sweet corn, hint of wet cardboard, very faint citrus, and muted grass. Mid to light body, thin palate; Initial taste has a burst of pungent malt with sharp spike of sweet grape juice with faint wet cardboard in the background, followed by sweet corn, faint citrus and grass. Hop bitterness came up slowly but surely as semi finish; Slightly dry after taste, fairly easy to mouth.
Comments: this one is bit too cloying in taste and too sharp a malt smell for a macro pale lager. Too heavy for a quaffable light weight and I can only finish half the can and the rest is drain pours. That said, at 50 US cents apiece, I wouldn’t ask for more. A bargain I won’t touch again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bif (1023) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 2, 2013
500ml Can. pours a light golden color with a decent head that fades quickly to just bits of lacing. Arroa of fresh grain and herbal, with some malt sweetness. Taste is quite bland with some malt sweetness and grain. Very mild bitterness and a fairly clean finish. Light body, fairly smooth but short on flavor. Another Euro Lager that is non-offensive.

Can of 500 ml at home. Pours a pale golden yellow beer, with a one finger head that goes away fast. Not much activity in the glass.
Smells of malts very faintly and of old bread.
Taste is quite bitter and also metallic.
It is medium thin on the body and is quite carbonated.
Overall, it wasn’t that bad.
