Tap @ brewpub. Bright yellow pour with haze and a white head. Aroma is heavy clove/banana wirh wheat. Taste dominated by clive/banana with dry, clean wheat and light tart. Clean drinker. Nice hefe with a heavy clove/banana aspect.

Gold pour, white head. Cloves, gum, banana, wheat, bread in the nose. Flavor is loaded with banana, yeast, wheat.

(Draught) Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, soap, citrus, and clove. Flavor of banana, wheat, vanilla, and clove with a lightly chalky finish.

The pour is a cloudy pale yellow color with a finger of white head. Has some good banana aromas to it as well as lots of wheat and bready malt. A little citrus peel and some yeast with mild spice notes. The banana and spice flavors are noticeable up front, but not quite dominant like on a traditional hefeweizen. Some orange peel and a sweet bready flavor is also there. Maybe a hint of straw, too.

On tap at Hollister. Pours with a small white ring of froth over a hazy pale yellow body. Aroma of wheat, light banana, vanilla and chlorine. Taste is sweet with vanilla, wheat, banana and orange. Tingly carbonation and a dry mouthfeel for the style.

Foggy pale.white with a thin off white head. Aroma is a light spice, citrus, hay, banana esters. Taste is light maltiness, some corriander, banana esters.

A lovely cloudy yeasty beverage. Sweet banana, and a lovely drinkability. Very smooth, and very drinkable. Someone at the table said it reminded them of a malty lemonade - not really a positive way to review a beer, but I think it is fitting for this one. Buy one for your lady friend.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy gold-amber with a smallish white head. The aroma is yeasty with some clove spice and a little banana bread. The flavor is tart and spicy with a nice malt sweetness that remains a little restrained. Medium-light bodied. Not as much banana as german examples that I’ve had, but a nice spice. Refreshing.
