Growler from the brewpub.Appearance is golden light amber color with decent carbonation. Poured with a nice 2-3 finger dead that went away quickly. The aroma is full of fresh hops and tropical fruit notes. The taste is great. i hate to compare this to something, but in reality it is very similar to blind pig from russian river. It just has a slightly hoppier finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Gold with a creamy white head. The aroma is a blast of tropical fruit and piney hops. The flavor has much of the same bright fruit character. Lots of grapefruit and mango, with a nice evergreen accent. Dry and mild malt character. Medium-light body. Bitterness is mild compared to the hop aroma. A touch lighter on the malt and bitterness than the Pope, with more tropical fruit in the aroma. Nice and dry in the finish, which makes the hops pop. Fantastic IPA.

On tap at Toronado. Clear golden & small white head. Aromas of tropical fruit and pineapple. Medium bodied. Solid bitter hops with a super long tasty finish kind of on the dry side. Tasty hop profile with subdued sweet malt! Excellent!!

Had this from draft at the Hollister brew house. Pours golden and clear I think. Dark in here. Tons of foamy head. Bitter and pine needle citrus taste. Great nose on this

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Hoptoberfest (and a small sample at Hollister the last time that I was there). Pours with a clear golden body and a large white head with great lacing. Aroma is catty, herbal, dank, and dry with tons of dry hopped, vegital, spicy hops. Flavors of orange and dry fruit, tons of citrus and bready malts. Lively bubbles, and a very dry finish. Very good!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear golden with a decent white head and a crisp pale malt flavor. There is a dry bitter finish that clings to the palate. Very flavorful.

brokensail (11085) - Orange County, California, USA - FEB 1, 2012
The beer is a clear orange color with white foam. Definitely some citrus aroma to it, particularly grapefruit aromas. There’s a little bit of pine and maybe some bread, too. The flavor is nicely balanced (and that isn’t a pejorative). Good grapefruit and pine with a soft sweetness of bread and caramel. Moderately bitter, too.

Sampled at GABF. Malty double IPA with the breadiness of such beers. Sweet but muted as well.
