Poured a medium golden color, nose was moderately hoppy with floral notes, taste was fairly bland, medium body for an IPA, no real hop flavor.

Tap @ brewpub. Golden pour with a froth of white foam. Balanced pine and bitterness with some light citrus and moderate bready malt in the aroma. Taste is bready malt with pine and bitterness. Clean, slightly airy mouthfeel. Great balance of bitterness and malt. Excellent.

Type: Draft Glass: Half-pint glass From: Hollister Brewing Company in Goleta, Calif. Price: $3.25 Purchased: July 5, 2013 Consumed: July 5, 2013 Misc.: N/A Poured a honey amber clear color with 1-2 fingers of off-white head when I got it. That head wore off quickly. Pretty good lacing along the sides. Average retention on the way down. Smelled tons of hops. Got lime, pine, citrus, caramel and floral, all in a clean, light whiff. Initial taste reminded me of a Manzanita IPA. Caramel, lime, pine, floral hops and citrus hops. Medium body. Creamy-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. This beer wasn’t as quite as good as I remember it from December, but I was sick then. But overall it is an OK IPA.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden. Aroma is belgian and banana with enough hops to know it is there. This really tastes more like a belgian IPA which isn’t my thing. Sweetness and banana again come into play. Very slight Belgian but almost hurts in a very bad way.

Gold pour with a white head. Grapefruit peel and pine aromas with some other fruity notes. Bitter taste with some malt on the back end. Pretty good.

Wow yet another hoppy beer from Hollister. Yellowish/gold pour. Grapefruit peel and resinout hops up front, some mango notes. Flavor is hoppy, bitter, fruit, tropical. Caramel malt balances it a bit.

Pours golden orange in color with a finger of white head. There is plenty of fresh hop character to this. Lots of grapefruit peel and sweet tangerine, tons of pine aroma, too. Just a hint of grass and floral hops. A sharp grapefruit flavor with a mild sweetness of tangerine and orange. The pine gives a nice bitterness. Mild malt sweetness in the background.

A solid if slightly weak IPA. Hippie is certainly the better of the two. This is more a session pale. Wouldn’t mind thus for a football game.
