2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 laiti (3925) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 8, 2013
Draught @ Pienpanimoiden Pieni Olut-tapahtuma, Mallaskoski, Seinäjoki
Sourish and bitter aroma cith citrus and vanilla. Rather tart flavour with citrus, grapefruit and some leathery gooseberry bush leaves. Finishes with grain and cardboard like some alcoholfree lagers. Feels very contaminated and not like pils at all, the tartness and sourness are at lambic level. Then again it makes this interesting.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2012 Draught at SOPP Lahti 2009. Hazy deep golden colour with creamy medium-size head. Malty and slightly hoppy aroma. Grainy malty flavour with lots of enjoyable hops. Served slightly too cold to get all the flavours. Good Pilsener. Draught at SOPP Lahti 2010. Something’s happened. This is like homebrew. Slightly hazy golden colour with tiny white head. Mild apple, mild malt and yeast in aroma. Malt, harsh bitter hops and yeast in homebrewy flavour. Low carbonation, homebrewy. Served very cold. Far from the last year’s treat. (I didn’t change the ratings though).
Draught at SOPP Lahti 2012.
This year it’s ok. Grainy malty Pils with some sweetness in flavour. Imelletty perunalaatikko in aroma.
