3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
10 oz half pint glass draft at the brewpub in Hollywood, Florida. The pour is a very hazy copper brown golden with a minimal off white head. The aroma is soft clove yeast along with softly fruit sweet malt and a bit of grass. The taste is a pleasant mix of the grassy softly sweet malt and the Belgian yeast notes. Nut character comes out as the beer warms in the aftertaste. The palate is medium bodied with soft natural carbonation and a clean clove finish. Nice, easy drinking beer.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a growler bought at the brewery. Mid brown and very hazy. A layer of beige head. An aroma full of bready yeast and rich malts. Those are tasted along with fruit. Berries and passion fruit. A sourness is noted late. Alcohol hits the taste buds early and stays along with some warming. Drinking this beer is like drinking the bread of the monks. I would like more complexity.
