Ouach.

Flavor is dry malts forward, light chocolate, light roast, faint dark fruit esters, and faint earthiness; thin mouthfeel with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

theisti (3093) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - JAN 24, 2014
10 oz half pint glass draft at the brewpub in Hollywood, Florida. The pour is a haze ruby black brown with a small light tan head. The aroma almost nothing, served very cold, as it warms there is maybe a bit of toast. The taste is toast malt along with some floral clove yeast. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a bit of sweet and yeast in the finish. Clean though dull.

Tap at the brewery. Almost black with a creamy tan head. This negons with cocoa, and it is powdery. Later dark chocolate is added to the cocoa. Even later roasted coffee notes and some tobacco are tasted. Hop bitterness throughout. A creamy feel.

Lubiere (9423) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2013
A clear brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with fruity esters, light peated, notes. In mouth, a sweet roasted caramel malt fruity esters, more like a dunkelweizen, not a stout for sure. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 15 2013.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 1/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 10/20
unclemattie (4030) - Georgia, USA - NOV 26, 2012
This beer is neither Russian or a Stout, discuss. On the menu as Russian Stout. Tap @ brewery. Cola colored, no head. Total loss of carbonation. Scents of toasted grains, dark malts, along with some off notes. Tastes of dark malt, roasted barley grain. sweet taste. Finishes like a German Alt, malty. Clearly, they made this beer to satisfy the tastes of the masses. Overall, this beer is more of a Brown Ale than any Stout, let alone Russian. (3532)
