2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lubiere (8243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2013
A clear brown stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with fruity esters, light peated, notes. In mouth, a sweet roasted caramel malt fruity esters, more like a dunkelweizen, not a stout for sure. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 15 2013.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 unclemattie (3709) - Georgia, USA - NOV 26, 2012
This beer is neither Russian or a Stout, discuss. On the menu as Russian Stout. Tap @ brewery. Cola colored, no head. Total loss of carbonation. Scents of toasted grains, dark malts, along with some off notes. Tastes of dark malt, roasted barley grain. sweet taste. Finishes like a German Alt, malty. Clearly, they made this beer to satisfy the tastes of the masses. Overall, this beer is more of a Brown Ale than any Stout, let alone Russian. (3532)

Sedimented medium brown with a fairly thick head. Served in a massive goblet. Toasty nose with some gasoline notes, extract style. Toasty and dry with a slight tartness and off-notes.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAR 14, 2012
Draft at brewpub, comes in a thick Trappist-style goblet! Is muddled brown. Looks like a failed stout and smells like one too. Just not enough dark roasted malt. Smells very doughy. The flavors are off, with a little tartness in the end. Not so good :(

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 3, 2012
My Bottom Line :
Silky and sweet, this Stout’s caramelized cereals also develop light roast and toast before diving into a timid finish.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slab of creamy foam dips into the blackness. This comes in a humongous chalice when you order the large serving. Quite impressive.
-This is not served with nitrogen.
-Bitterness could be amped up to balance out the sweetness and increase drinkability.
-Milk chocolate flavors can be found.
-Its simplicity makes it forgettable, but it remains a beer which serves its purpose for such a commercial area.
On tap at the brewpub.
