Holmegaard Mosebryg

on tap at the brewpub. One of the best. A very colourful taste experience.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy, orange presentation, with a minimal white head. In fact, more a layer of bubbles than a proper head. Quite weak nose, with a strange spicey note, some fruityness and grain-notes. Grainy, quite fruity flavor. There’s spices, but I would like more of them, especially flavorwise. Medium body. There’s a pleasant bitterness as well, especially in the flavor, but it seems the beers from Holmegaard are aiming a bit low for my likings. They are all certainly drinkable, but very far from exciting. (071006)

(On tap). Completely cloudy, orangey golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweetish, malty nose. Medium body, lightly sweet, caramellish malt and a very subdued bitterness. I cannot detect neither the cranberry nor the bog bilberries. Please tune up the spices. 071007
