500ml can. A bit bland but a well-made Lager when enjoyed in peak condition. Prefer the Pilsener.

Bottle. I agree with most of what imdownthepub says. If all else fails I am quite happy to drink this, there is just a bit more hop than most commercial lagers

Holsten holds a place in my heart for twice sponsoring my beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC... Not bad for a commercial German--a bit too much of the hop for this otherwise clean Deutsche brew.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 1, 2005
Actually I thought the aroma was the best thing about this bottle. Everything else was forgettable. Why can’t they make this sort of brew taste of something? Not bitter enough.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Papsoe (21781) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 26, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) The stronger Holsten export-version is a dark golden brew with a fine, dense white head. Nice malt in the nose. Body soft as velvet with the malt being very pronounced also here. Fruity, fresh hoppy finish. An excellent lager indeed. 210899
