500ml can. A bit bland but a well-made Lager when enjoyed in peak condition. Prefer the Pilsener.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2006 Not bad, better than the HOlsten Pils, but it was a ilttle aromaless at the first the foam is quite cool, but it is one more.

Blond color; eggwhite-like head. Simple aroma, some hop. Very simple beer, pretty strong bitterness.

Bottle. I agree with most of what imdownthepub says. If all else fails I am quite happy to drink this, there is just a bit more hop than most commercial lagers

Holsten holds a place in my heart for twice sponsoring my beloved Tottenham Hotspur FC... Not bad for a commercial German--a bit too much of the hop for this otherwise clean Deutsche brew.

Actually I thought the aroma was the best thing about this bottle. Everything else was forgettable. Why can’t they make this sort of brew taste of something? Not bitter enough.

(Bottle 33 cl) The stronger Holsten export-version is a dark golden brew with a fine, dense white head. Nice malt in the nose. Body soft as velvet with the malt being very pronounced also here. Fruity, fresh hoppy finish. An excellent lager indeed. 210899
