A small quickly dissapating head. Beeautiful magenta hue. Well balanced but mild hop/malt nose with traces of vanilla/flowers. An odd texture, a slick feel on the tounge initially but with a rather clean finish. The 7% is well masked up front. Not up there with the bock elites but a solid offering.

Very nice looking beer with a little bit of a redish colorto it. Very sweet taste that stayed with you long after the beer was gone.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2009 Re-rate: Root beer-like appearance. Dark brown/amber with a light, frothy, diminishing, off-white head. Caramel, licorice, and alcohol aroma. Lots of alcohol flavour, maybe a bit of licorice and even charcoal. Thin, dry, unappealing palate.

The one I had almost had a ruby color to it. The taste was very fruity, and fairly bitter. A nice aroma and it was easily finished.

I am shocked. Great balance of hop and malt, with a long, long malty aftertaste. Perhaps a little sweet, but I was not expecting much at all in quality. As it turns out, a great beer!

Pours light brown with touches of gold, sparkle of ruby, fine tanned head .3+
Light aroma, sweet mineral-malty character nothing suggesting that you are just about to drink 7 % dark lager. With time as it warms up finally brown caramel mats pop to the surface.
Medium light bodied. At first you are welcomed by strange fermented ripe fruit like tastes, they do stay with you till finish but middle and end got some (weak base) of malt. Harsh drying alcohol at the back. More like artificially darkened Mocne than fine holiday dark bock. Poor example.

dark brown colour, few head, caramel, too sweet, long aftertaste
