Clear dark golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, sugary and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. with warming alcohol. This doesn’t hide the alcohol well. 290512

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 OntBeerDrinker (129) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 29, 2012
1 finger head that hardly last and was so thin. Not many bubbles going up and not many on the glass I used. Taste well I’m used to bock beers being dark & thios one is golden with like a boozy garbage taste that comes after a veary quite water taste that has a little bite to it. It’s a heavy bodied beer that is on the smooth side a bite but not like the creaMY SMOOth beer’s they r a better smoothness. So really i see it more as a boozy not so good lager. Better beers & better German beers out there. I onoly know this & the festbock & so far holsten is a bit gross. only good for getting the 7% buzz cheer’s.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Digital_Aura (78) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2012
500ml can. Golden yellow brew (Lovibond 7/8) with thicker, white head. Dissipates into thin lace fairly soon after pouring. Aroma is citrus. Fair carbonation, could use more. Taste is very smooth: oaky, with a creamy hoppy flavour. Soft palate. Stronger oak finish - something left to coat your mouth.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
Originally rated April 2005. This "Maibock" pours a golden colour with heavy carbonation. The white head with not much retention, leaves good lacing. At first I could smell the hop, and oh boy was it good. Then the aromas become mostly malt, on the lighter side. The taste was also different at first, being very metallic. Then it was delicate and smooth, with hints of corn in the aftertaste. Some kind of bitterness, but mostly in the back of the palate. Some alcohol in the nose. Not bad, but more or less, a strong lager à-la-7% ABV.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerViking (1055) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2012
33cl bottle from Germany, amber-gold with thin clingy head, a little apple and pepper on the nose, quite smooth, a little sweet, spicy notes, doesn’t drink its ABV.
