Very Fruity aroma. Not a bad beer but not the best that I’ve had from Holsten!

Dark straw to light amber in color, light malt aroma. What was interesting about this beer was the silky, smooth mouth feel coupled with the warmth of alcohol. i found this to be a nice beer especially from a can. I was also surprised by the color of this Mai-Bock. Cheers

500ml can. Golden yellow brew (Lovibond 7/8) with thicker, white head. Dissipates into thin lace fairly soon after pouring. Aroma is citrus. Fair carbonation, could use more. Taste is very smooth: oaky, with a creamy hoppy flavour. Soft palate. Stronger oak finish - something left to coat your mouth.

Pours with a fluffy head that dissipates very quickly; golden coloured with almost no carbonation; saccharine, floral nose with a sweet, bready flavour that, for a strong beer, doesn't have an overpowering alcohol bite to it. (500ml can)

Poured from can. Nice golden color, but small head that disappeared quickly. Strong alcohol content which was fine, but tasted pretty malty with a bit of sweetness. Not horrible, but not a favorite.

Surprisingly smooth for a 7% beer. Slightly bitter taste that becomes less noteworthy as you work your way down the glass. Nice gold colour, no head to speak of.

500ml can poured into a pint glass. Average Lager appearance. Golden color with a 1/2" head that was quickly gone. Aroma is a mild mix of malts and hops, and some alcohol. Tastes a little sweet up front but then it’s mostly hop & alcohol bitterness. Average mouthfeel. The alcohol is not well masked. Looks & smells ok but once it’s in my mouth it loses some of its appeal. One is enough. It’s OK but not as good as some of Holsten’s other beers.

I just ’stumbled’ upon this beer at a provincial liquor store here in B.C. I was concerned about the beer being in a can but the subtle sweet finish makes it all worth it ... Like a fine wine in a can if you can dig it . It’s Thanksgiving here in Canada and thankful I am for this beer ... CHeers ... bottoms up :P

Not my favourite beer, but I keep buying it. Bitter, heavy, with strong alcohol content. Fruity, flowery overtones with a undercurrent of strong alcoholic content, with a bit of wine. Much, much better than any North American macrobrewery
